Gaetano Sciolari

As much as I love LIGHT I’m not a fan of about 98% of the light fixtures out in the world. Hence why so much of my career has been designing them.

When I do find something – it’s LOVE, as it is for the work of Gaetano Sciolari. An Italian designer active in the latter half of the 20th century his work was always architectural, sometimes sculptural, mostly consisting of modular components, and – for me – very excitingly he often mixed metals. I love fixtures that contain both chrome and brass or gold.

I absolutely adore his work.
